RJ45 Cat8 Connector VCELINK

This is a nice heavyweight module, that doesn't need a great deal in terms of tools to assemble, I found it a lot quicker to work with than the normal collared clamp variety. The conductive metallised plastic spring collar was neatly designed to grip progressively stronger as you tightened the screw-on strain relief at the rear. I didn't see a lot of different between the thin and wide ends of the strain relief with my calipers but it is always a bit awkward to measure flexible things so this was more of a curiosity than anything else as the manual said it could be trimmed shorter if it was too tight, but I found it ideal for my double shielded LSZH cat 8. Easy to terminate, easy to fit, well manufactured. Saves quite a bit of time.

I like the concept of fittings without tools, but these were bought as standby item and not used. It is unlikely they will be used in the foreseeable future so I can make no assessment of integrity or ease of fit. They look the part, were delivered quickly and well packaged - this what the 4 rating is for. They are expensive, but you expect to pay more for multi-component tool-less fittings.

Von werkzeuglos kann keine Rede sein, jedoch ist keine Crimpzange notwendig. Außerdem können die dickeren Adern wesentlich einfacher eingesetzt werden, damit das Crimpen stressfreier und schneller möglich ist.
Die Form bietet einige Nachteile, wobei sie nebeneinander in jedes Gerät passen dürften. Die Vor- und Nachteile sollte man abwägen, denn die Verkabelung eines Hauses kann mit den Steckern teuer, aber einfacher werden.

Ich musste vor einer Weile einige Netzwerkkabel Cat.7 mit Steckern ausrüsten und hatte mir die passenden Anschlüsse zur Verwendung mit der Crimpzange besorgt. Um es abzukürzen, das Crimpen war anstrengend und nervig, da die Kabel fummelig in eine Führung eingeführt werden mussten, daher war ich an dieser Lösung interessiert.
Grundsätzlich reicht die beigefügte Anleitung aus, jedoch musste ich etwas länger überlegen, wie das Diagramm auf der Unterseite zur Belegung passt.
Wie abgebildet, werden die vorderen Farben in die längeren Führungen eingeschoben. Bitte den verwendeten Standard beachten!
Das Abschneiden der Kabel gestaltet sich leicht knifflig, da man einen kleinen Seitenschneider benötigt oder die Kabel überstehen lässt, abschneidet und alle Adern gleichmäßig zurückzieht.
Also das mit dem werkzeuglos hat sich beim Abisolieren bereits erübrigt. Nun den Seitenschneider und im Anschluss noch eine Zange, damit die Kabel ordentlich aufgelegt werden.
Danach benötigt man zur Montage wirklich kein Werkzeug mehr, weil lediglich die Abdeckung aufgeschraubt werden muss.
Normalerweise sollten die Stecker in alle Geräte passen, auch wenn die Anschlüsse eng nebeneinander sitzen. Sie sind tatsächlich sperriger in ihren Ausmaßen.
Es wäre sinnvoll fest verlegt Kabel mit den Steckern auszustatten, da sie sich konstruktionsbedingt schwer lösen lassen.
Mehr als 7,50€ pro Stück finde ich persönlich heftig, wenn man ein Haus komplett verkabelt.

In the box you get 4 heavy duty RJ45 connector heads with dust cover, cable management cover, tightening sleeve and tail cover.

These make cutting ethernet cables and installing RJ45 heads easier than usual as there's no crimping required. The cable management cover made cutting the wires to the correct length much easier .

Happy with these - useful piece of kit.

The connector is a nice well engineered phosphor bronze case with a flip lid for the terminations and a carrier for the wires with a T568B colour coded legend. The black plastic in the product page is simply a cap to protect the clip . For the cable there is a strain relief and a metal clamping element. You strip back 3cm of cable, tease out the ground cable to secure back in that metal clamping element, you then put the right colours in the top plastic clip the front wires are longer than the rear which is a little tricky to get them all neate but a few practice goes before you cut the wires to length makes sure you are neat. Cut them and use crimping pliers or parallel cliers to crimp the plastic carrier to the insulation displacement contacts in the main body. Close the flip top lid of the connector and screw the cable strain relief over the metal clamping element to the body of the connector. Everything is now secure. These are well worth the money as i comfortably got 40Gbps across a 5m patch NAS to NAS doing a 14TB irror backup. Awesome performance. Really pleased with them. Happy to recoomend, Andrew
