Fragen und Antworten

  • Hi, will these work with (highest speed cable) cat7 flat internet network cable?

    Dear Customer,
This CAT6A/CAT7 RJ45 Pass through connector can't be used with CAT7 flat internet network cable. Compared with the standard CAT7 ethernet cable, flat CAT7 cable with thinner core wire (wire OD, core wire including the insulation). This CAT6A/CAT7 connector can be used with 23AWG, wire OD (including the insulation) from 1.35mm(0.053 inches) to -1.45mm(0.057 inches). CAT7 flat internet network cable can't meet the requirement of 1.35mm(0.053 inches)-1.45mm(0.057 inches). If the wire OD is too thin, it will slide inside the load bar, making it impossible to crimp correctly. So CAT7 flat cable can't be used with this RJ45 Pass through the connector.
We hope this information can help you.
    Thanks & Best Regards!
  • Can these be used with 26awg cat7 cable?

    Dear Customer,
VCELINK RJ45 pass-through connector is suitable for 23AWG cable, its wire OD (including the insulation) should be 1.35mm-1.45mm.
The AWG is the diameter of the copper core which does not include insulation, but for RJ45 plugs wire OD has a greater impact. If the wire OD is too thin, the wire will slide inside the load bar, making it impossible to crimp properly, and if the wire OD is too thick, the wire will not be inserted into the load bar. So please check your cable's wire OD. If your wire OD is from 1.35mm(0.053 inches) to 1.45mm(0.057 inches) then this RJ45 plug is suitable for your network cable.
    Thanks & Best Regards!

After struggling with some RJ45 plugs that I had, I bit the bullet and purchased a bag of these pass-throughs.
They make it so much easier to feed the individual wires into (and through) the plug.

On my previous plugs, all the holes were on the same line and it was difficult (impossible) to get the 7th and 8th wire in place as they had filled up the width of the plug and there was too much friction.
With these plugs however, the offset nature of the holes in the load bar (see image) mean that the 23AWG wires and thicker insulation that I had on my Cat6A cable were able to be easily fed through.
In fact, you could even have slightly thicker cables if you wanted.

You then push the load bar up towards the end of the wires and make sure the wires are generally pointing straight ahead with about 5mm or so poking out past the load bar.
Then push these wires and load bar into the plug itself and keep pushing on the wires so that they come out (pass through!) the head of the plug.

It is so much easier than trying to push each wire individually into the end of the RJ45 plug - especially if you have thick'ish wires like I did.

Just remember to put the boot on first (if you are using it). You can pull the wires back out of the plug if you haven't crimped it, but the load bar gets stuck and you have to use a new plug anyway.

Bought these so I could make my own custom length cords. Wires slide nicely into place.

Easy to use if you are careful to make sure the wires stay in place while crimping.

Works great

The load bars helped a lot with lining up the wires in the holes. Passthru connectors are generally easier because you dont have to worry about cutting it to exact length. Passthru+Load Bar makes that even easier.
