At this point I've plugged them in to check to see if they work. They do. I haven't studied picture quality, but there was no static or major color shifts in the test.
The only thing I've noticed is that you can't tighten the screws from both cables. The screw on one side of this unit completely fill the threads of the nut on the other side. So, you can tighten from one side only. But, that's not a deal breaker for me. My cables rarely get moved enough to notice. Never enough to pull these plugs apart. (These adapters have a great, snug fit!)

Needed to mate two VGA cables for a longer run between the screen and PC. Worked perfectly. Very pleased.
I used these to extend a cable to prevent accidents during presentations - works just fine. It does have screws to firmly secure to the mating end of the cable.
